Eluga C – First Bezel-less Smartphone from Panasonic Launches Today
Recently, Panasonic launched a few of the budget smartphones, including Eluga I5 and P91 in India. This time, the brand is no more behind in trend of bezel-less and dual-camera smartphones. It has finally gone ahead and launched another budget device to its Eluga family – Eluga C. Unlike others, the flagship smartphone follows Mi Mix 2 when it comes to form factor.
Following the footsteps of Sharp and Xiaomi, Panasonic launched Eluga C with dual camera and bezel-less display. The flagship smartphone was initially launched in Taiwan for TWD 6000 (or Rs. 12,900 approx.) and it is available for preorders.
Along with it, Panasonic Eluga C is packed with 5.5” HD (720x1280p) display with ultra-thin bezels. Another interesting thing is that it doesn’t have 18:9 aspect ratio even with minimal bezel-design, which is quite common these days in most of the full-screen devices. However, the display panel has enough brightness to make on-screen content visible completely under bright daylight. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750T octa-core SoC which is clocked at 1.5GHz and supported by 4GB RAM.
Panasonic has added 13MP and 5MP camera sensors on the back of the device and both have f/2.2 aperture on top. The smartphone also has 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. It is equipped with a fingerprint sensor to unlock the display within just 0.3 seconds and is capable to record maximum 5 fingerprints. It has onboard storage of 64GB which is expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card.
It packs 3000mAh battery and it is bundled with a 7.5W power charger. Along with it, the device has 5.1mm slim metal frame with glass finish on the back. When it comes to connectivity options out of the box, the device is backed by 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro-USB port, and GPS. On the software front, the device runs at the latest Android Nougat.
Finally, Panasonic has taken a move to join the nascent race of dual-camera, bezel-less smartphones, by launching Eluga C. If you want premium display appeal without spending much on Apple iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S8, Eluga C is your best bet. It also now comes in the mid-range segment like OnePlus5T. Nevertheless, it has a design which reminds you of the Sharp Aquos Crystal and Xiaomi Mi Mix which both continued the trend of bezel-less devices, much before Super Retina Display from Apple and Infinity Display from Samsung.
